Reconstructive implantology

People with bad teeth need no longer despair. Thanks to the rapid loading method, a bridge on implants can be made in a relatively short period of time. If you are plagued by dental problems that seem almost impossible to solve, you can now come to Dr Bart for the solution. With as little as a single operation, you can receive a beautiful set of teeth that can last a lifetime.

The rapid loading method begins with the placement of root implants (brand: 3i implant innovations) which act as artificial roots. These titanium implants will grow into the jaw bone permanently. After these implants are in place, an imprint can immediately be made of the lower jaw. For the upper jaw, it is sometimes necessary to wait until the implants have grown into place.

The new bridge, composed of a metal-reinforced white and pink synthetic resin, can be placed within two weeks.
If, due to the seriousness of the dental problems, there is insufficient bone for the implants, this can be supplemented with a bone transplant.

Patients who want a perfect, particularly attractive and very strong set of teeth can have this synthetic resin bridge replaced by a ceramic bridge after a few months, with a gold-platinum framework as a base. Even professionals often cannot tell these beautiful constructions from the real thing. While absolute guarantees are difficult to make, a bridge like that should last a lifetime. The technical work is provided by Dental Team in Tessenderlo, Belgium. This dental-technical laboratory is internationally renowned for its work.

All operations take place under general anesthesia, as such extensive implants cannot be placed under local anesthesia alone. If bone transplants are required, that operation will also take place under full anesthesia. The bone graft can be taken from the pelvis on the dorsal side. For those patients who under no circumstances wish to be operated on their pelvis, it is sometimes possible to use bone scrapings from the skull or lower jaw, mix these with synthetic bone, and apply the mixture to the upper jaw. In these cases, under ideal conditions, the bridge may only be placed 7 months after the bone transplant.
